What is conscious connected breath?

Conscious connected breathwork is a guided breathing practice where the breath flows continuously without pauses between the inhale and exhale. This rhythmic breathing pattern allows the body to move out of “thinking mode” and into a deeper state of awareness.

It can help release stored tension and emotions, regulate the nervous system, increase clarity, and reconnect you to your body. Each experience is unique — some people feel calm and grounded, others experience emotional release or powerful insights. The breath meets you exactly where you are.

How should I prepare for a session?

Wear comfortable clothing and choose a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed. You’ll want somewhere you can lie down with space around you. Have water nearby and perhaps a blanket for comfort.

It’s best not to eat a heavy meal 1–2 hours beforehand. Come with an open mind — no experience is necessary. The only thing required is a willingness to breathe and allow yourself to feel.

What might I experience during a session?

Every journey is different. You may feel deeply relaxed, emotional, energised, or physically aware of sensations in your body. Some people experience tingling in the hands or face, temperature changes, or waves of emotion — all of which are completely normal responses to the breathing pattern.

You are always in control, and you can slow your breath at any time. My role is to guide you safely and create a space where you feel supported throughout.

Is breath work for everyone?

Breathwork is powerful, and while it is safe for many people, it is not suitable for everyone. If you are pregnant, have epilepsy, severe asthma, cardiovascular conditions, high blood pressure, a history of psychosis, or any serious medical condition, you should consult your doctor before participating.

If you’re unsure, please reach out to me privately and we can discuss whether this style of breathwork is right for you.
